Anybody who played Batman: Arkham Asylum remembers that mind trip of a Scarecrow level and how epic that was. With all the villains being crammed into Batman: Arkham City many of us took for granted that Scarecrow would make another appearance. Not so fast though as Rocksteady had some issues with Scarecrow in the last game.
Rocksteady’s Paul Crocker has cast some doubt as to whether we will even see Scarecrow this time around by saying: “In Batman: Arkham Asylum we had the whole Scarecrow thing, and we didn’t want to do that again we wanted something different.”
Now thanks to Rocksteady we have to wonder. It could just be a reference to the fact that Rocksteady has said they aren’t doing anymore larger than life boss battles like they did in Arkham Asylum. Or could it mean that Scarecrow will be completely absent this time around? At this point, nobody knows but with Arkham Asylum Rocksteady proved they know what they are doing so we won’t doubt them now and we know they wouldn’t omit one of Batman’s most interesting and brilliant foes…would they?
