Well we sort of expected two iPhones to be released next month, and we were expecting them to be called the iPhone 5 and the iPhone 4S. The good news here is that the majority of those assumptions are true. There will be two new iPhones launched this fall, and one will be called the iPhone 5. However, that iPhone 4S won’t launch. Well at least not with that name. According to Mark Moskowitz of J.P. Morgan, Apple will launch the iPhone 4 Plus with the iPhone 5 this fall. Shocking, but not earth shattering I suppose.
Additionally he states a lot of known information about the two devices. For the iPhone 5, he states that the device “will be a “world phone” with both GSM and CDMA cellular support.” The iPhone 5 will not support 4G (LTE), and will feature a thinner, lighter build. And as far as the iPhone 4 Plus, it’s just has “some improvements” over the iPhone 4.
So there you have it! Could this be true? Does the name matter that much to you? Did you prefer iPhone 4S to iPhone 4 Plus? Hit up the comments and let us know!
