Spider-Man: Edge Of Time Gets Ultimate Comics Costume

The latest game based on everyone’ favourite webslinger, Spider-Man: Edge of Time will feature the updated Spider-Man suit designs that have recently featured in Marvel’s recently released Ultimate Comics: Spider-Man series. Spider-Man: Edge of Time challenges the player to take on the roles of both classic Amazing Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2099 to correct a timestream gone awry and prevent a catastrophic future brought on by the early and untimely death of Peter Parker. The new costume may prove confusing to those who are not fully up to date with everything that is going on in the comic world. I shall explain.

Not a bad look for Spidey but fans of comic book continuity will be blowing a fuse

Spider-Man: Edge of Time is concerned with the classic Spider-Man, Peter Parker, and his non union Mexican future equivalent, Miguel O’Hara who is more commonly known as Spider-Man 2099. The confusion comes in because the Ultimate Comics version of the suit is usually worn by Miles Morales after Peter Parker dies in the UC universe, so for Parker to wear that costume in the game is screwing up all sorts of continuity which is hated by the comic book community.

Anyway, I’m sure that won’t prove too much of a hindrance in the final game and you check it out for yourself when Spider-Man: Edge of Time launches in October for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

I'm a big gaming fan who has been playing games since ever since Pokemon Yellow was released in the year 2000. I'm just glad that there are decent rugby games on the PS3 now after years of nothing. I need another Uncharted game...NOW!!!!!
