The PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 remakes of Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker will have four-player co-op support via Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network. The news was broken by Series creator Hideo Kojima this morning but it was not mentioned whether the game would have split-screen co-op which you think it would be but the inclusion of online co-op doesn’t mean there will be an offline equivalent as Dead Rising 2 proves. Kojima also said that “During loading, characters’ dialogues pop up at random”, so yeah…look forward to that.
The transition of the game onto the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 from the PSP has seen the frame rate hit 60fps so the presentation of the game is going to be very high quality indeed. The remakes are part of the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection which is made up of Metal Gear Solid 2, MGS3, Peace Walker and Metal Gear 1 and Metal Gear 2. The collection is due to drop on 25th November and looks like being one to pick up and is likely to give you good value for money.
