What security breach? It looks like PlayStation Network is none the worse for wear after the major breach earlier this year that brought PSN down for several weeks. In fact, according to Sony CEO Howard Stringer, PlayStation Network has added 3 million new customers since the attack. Stringer says that PSN is “more secure and better than ever”. Speaking at the IFA conference in Berlin, String went on to say that they are aggressively expanding PSN’s content and sales are higher now than before the attacks.
“This year, we at Sony have been flooded, we’ve been flattened, we’ve been hacked, we’ve been singed. But the summer of our discontent is behind us.”
While the exact amount of the PSN outage is still unknown, most believe it is well under what had been previously projected. It’s funny at the time it seemed like this big thing, but thinking about a few months later I hardly ever think about it anymore. What about you, have you changed your behavior after the breach or are you back to business as you usual?
