Three new multiplayer maps have confirmed by Microsoft to appear in their upcoming game Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary which is a re-mastered version of the original Halo game that appeared on the Xbox in 2001 but this one will include online multiplayer, cooperative play and achievements amongst other various features. The first map is ‘Timberland’ that fans should know from the Halo PC game and the map is set in a forested valley complete with raging rivers and it supports between 8 and 16 players.

The game will feature Kinect for the first time in the Halo series

The ‘Prisoner’ map from Halo: Combat Evolved is the second map in the announcement with this one catering for between 2-8 players and the level seems like it will serve up plenty of intense fire-fights as the map is a multi-level facility, packed with tight corridors, bridges and ramps. The third map is the ‘Installation 04’ environment from the original’s “Halo” that will be a new backdrop for a Firefight map. The environment is set on a precipice on Alpha Halo studded with old Forerunner structures and supports one to four players.

There will be a total of seven maps in the final game and Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary will hit store shelves on November 15th 2011 on the Xbox 360 and Kinect will be supported.

I'm a big gaming fan who has been playing games since ever since Pokemon Yellow was released in the year 2000. I'm just glad that there are decent rugby games on the PS3 now after years of nothing. I need another Uncharted game...NOW!!!!!
