Gears of War 3 will follow in the path of L.A. Noire in the sense that it will be offering a “Season Pass” for any forthcoming DLC that the game will get so players will have the opportunity to get a 33 percent discount on the game add-ons. The “Season Pass” will cost 2400 Microsoft points (around $30) and will be “available on September 20th and will include an exclusive Liquid Metal Weapon set” so there is an extra incentive if there wasn’t enough for you to get this. So, what DLC does it actually cover? Read on to find out.
The “Season Pass” will cover the first four instalments of DLC which are going to be released for the game over the next year, with the first planned to hit Xbox Live in November. I think this “Season Pass” is good value providing you know you will want every piece of DLC but if you don’t then the 33 percent discount just isn’t enough to justify a purchase and no manner of shiny bonus weapons will ever change that view.
Gears of War 3 will hit the Xbox 360 on September 20th and launches in three different versions: Standard ($60), Limited ($80) and Epic ($150).
