Sony Vita Gets “Escape Plan”, You Get First Impressions [TRAILER]

Sony Computer Entertainment opened up the war chest this past Tuesday and dropped a peak at one of their first Vita games that looks to have a lot promise. Escape Plan appears to have all of the wonderful silliness and that creepy edge of the recent puzzle-platformers that have come to the PlayStation world as of late. (Remember LIMBO? Yeah, creepy, dark, and black and white.) Escape Plan appears to be taking from previous successes in the genre and adding a bit of comedy to the mix, all while making it available in the palm of your hand.

Escape Plan will feature two hapless characters, Lil and Laarg, who have been captured and need your guidance, skill and problem solving abilities to escape from a dark maze of confusing puzzles and traps. (Seriously, you played LIMBO right?) Escape Plan is boasted to take advantage of the PlayStation Vita’s multi-touch display, rear touch panel and swipe interfaces to help players complete their goals and bring Lil and Laarg to safety. Players can swipe, squeeze, poke and slap these guys to interact and manipulate the environment.

I’m not sure about anyone else, but looking at the trailer below this looks like it’s got some promise and introducing it on the Vita seems to be an interesting way of introducing the power that Vita holds as an interactive device. Let us know what you think!

I started my gaming career when my parents first bought me a Tandy 1000 computer, top of the line stuff, and I played through visual basic games. As I grew older and technology came with me, I graduated onto the likes of Duke Nukem 3D and Grand Theft Auto (You know the 2D, top down version..epic.) My friends and I would tie up the house phone line blasting at one another via 9600 baud modems. This was the beginning of the end people: NES, Super NES, N64, Playstation, Xbox, Playstation 2, Xbox 360 and Kinect, Wii, Playstation 3 and of course my trusty PC when ever else I got bored. From there the online gaming world took off and I too followed it being clan based throughout college on multiple platforms and games alike. Today I find myself playing across all platforms and loving every minute of it. To think, from green screen to high def and nearly 20 years of advancement, only to know that this gets better every day. Hi, my name is Chris..and I'm a gamer.
