Hands up if you ever played with a puppet theatre as a kid? No? OK, I guess like the rest of us you were too busy playing on your NES or SNES, or watching Galaxy High in your pajamas so fair enough. Puppet theatres are probably more a part of Japanese culture, and whether or not you have ever experienced one they lend their unique look to a new downloadable title from Grasshopper Studios, home of the unique Suda 51.
Black Knight Sword was announced during Gamescom and looks like a fun retro styled platformer with shades of Castlevania and the old classic Dynamite Headdy on the Megadrive (or Genesis as you like to call it in the land of soccer.) The look of the game is heavily stylized, with a theatre curtain constantly in the foreground, and the background detail looking like cardboard sets. Grasshopper has promised a traditional feeling title however, even if it looks unusual. Check out the video we have for you below and let us know what you think. And I don’t mean about the hot Japanese chick in the tight skirt either.
