Our good friends at 345 Games and Comedy Central/Spike TV have finally announced that the long-awaited (okay..maybe only kinda awaited) “Ugly Americans: Apocalypsegeddon” will be available for your dual analog stick shooting pleasure on XBLA on August 31, and PSN August 30 for a mere $9.99.  (800 Microsoft Points if you’re too lazy to figure it out.)  “It won’t be too much longer until gamers everywhere can get their hands on the first Comedy Central branded arcade game,” said Dan Yang, general manager, 345 Games. “We’ve been working hard to infuse Ugly Americans: Apocalypsegeddon with a combination of addicting gameplay and the comedic sensibilities that has made the show such a success. We feel that we’ve created an original and memorable game play experience.”

Gameplay features up to four-player co-op via an old school top-down feel.  You can strap up as any of four playable characters, each with their own unique abilities, weapons and strengths.  You will take on New York City and all of the demons, man birds ( birds), and of course zombies with weapons such as flaming demon skulls (awesome), fish (uh..okay), baseball bats and wrenches (old school standbys), uh and by lactating fire on your enemies.  (yeah..about that.)  All of this simply so you can find and defeat the evil one attempting to end all life on this planet as we know it.

“Ugly Americans” airs on Thursdays at 10:30pm (EST) on Comedy Central if you need to catch up on all the glory that is heavy sarcasm and totally sadistic humor rapped in a post-apocalyptic New York City landscape full of demons, zombies, and yeah..creepy stuff.

I started gaming when it was nothing more than green screens and clunky keyboards. Today, I play everything and anything that provides for a gaming experience. Good, bad, indifferent, and some times even ugly. I'm here to tell you whats up.
