3DS Mii Hunters Anonymous

Those of you that are new 3DS owner’s and the unlucky early adopters that live in rural areas, may be finding it hard to populate your Mii Plaza via Street Pass. Now you too can be like the cool  kids that live in Hollywood, who get to exchange Mii’s with all the biggest stars. Well, almost…..the Nintendo fanatics over at Mii Characters dot-com have done an excellent job of providing step by step instructions for filling your 3DS or Wii with Mii’s crafted to look like famous people, cartoon and comic book characters.

If you only own a  Wii you are left out on this next bit of fun but the lucky 3DS owner’s on a Mii Hunt are not. Instead of being a hyper aggressive Mii Hunter like somebody I know… You can take  more of a bird watchers approach.

Nintendo put a QR Code scanner into the 3DS’s Mii Maker application so you could acquire Mii’s  by taking pictures of Mii encoded QR Codes at special events and from advertisements. You can Mii stalk over to  Mii Character’s and pack your 3DS camera, for every Mii on their site includes a QR Code!

Unfortunately you can’t actually use these Mii’s in Mii Plaza unless you find some that are not copy protected, but you can save them in Mii Maker. By my math you can save up to 100 Mii’s in the 3DS Mii Maker, that’s how many open slots there are anyway.

For the down trodden Mii Hunter’s keep your head up  with the recent price drop of the 3DS and the Holidays coming up, you should find it easier meet people hiding their Street Pass active 3DS in their pockets.
