The other day we told you that RAGE would have 21-22GB install for Xbox 360, that kind of sucked. Today we have more news for you and if you like to buy used games you won’t be happy about this. RAGE’s Creative Director, Tim Willits, revealed this talking about hatches.
Willits went on to say:
“If you bought the game new, that would be open for you. You still have to download it, but you don’t have to pay for it.”
“Those hatches are all over. Most people never find them. But as soon as you do, you’re like, oh. And then you start to look for it. That’s our first-time buyer incentive.”
“But as you can tell, most people [have] never even see[n] it. I can tell you, some people will buy Rage, download that, and still never set foot in those things. They just won’t. I think that’s fair. It’s cool. It’s outside the main path. We’re not detracting from anything. But I know some consumers, when you can’t avoid it, then you get a little touchy subject.”
So there you have it folks, you can stray from the main path in RAGE if you like, buy the game free and it won’t cost you anything but buy it used and well..you know. In terms of overall DLC for RAGE, Willits said that they have some rough ideas about what they want to do but are waiting to see what the fans ask for. So if you want more gadgets, or more racing make sure you express it to the folks at ID Software and you just might get your wish answered.
RAGE is due for release on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in early October.
