The high-speed arcade puzzle game Cubixx HD will launch on the PlayStation Network on the 17th August, the developer Laughing Jackal has announced today. In the UK that game will cost £6.29 and there is ever more good news for members of PlayStation Plus as they will get a 20% discount for the first week that the game is on sale. Cubixx HD is from the developer behind the recently released chain reaction PlayStation Mini OMG-Z, and the original Cubixx, released as a Mini two years ago and it is the UK studio’s first PS3 game.

PlayStation Plus members will get a 20% discount on the game in the first week of sale

Grab your Cubot & fire your laser across 50 Arcade levels, and evade and annihilate deadly enemies or test your skills to the limit in the brand new “Challenges” mode where you will find 50 bespoke challenges that will really test your new found skills to the max. On top of that there are over 150 leaderboards across the 3 brand new Attack modes: Score Attack, Line Attack & Time Attack. 7-player co-op in Arcade, Attack and Deathmatch is also available.

It sounds like an interesting little game and one I’ll look out for on the 17th August although I might wait for the price to drop before I buy it.

I'm a big gaming fan who has been playing games since ever since Pokemon Yellow was released in the year 2000. I'm just glad that there are decent rugby games on the PS3 now after years of nothing. I need another Uncharted game...NOW!!!!!
