Okay, let me get this straight: 1) Not only is MW3 coming to Wii..(we’ll come back to this.) 2) Treyarch is going to help Infinity Ward do it.
Yup, if that confused the living heck out of you when you read it the first time, it will make your head hurt even more to know that Infinity Ward’s Creative Strategist Robert Bowling even confirmed it in an interview with One of Swords, “The great thing is Treyarch proved that you can have an awesome experience on the Wii with Call of Duty. They’ll actually be handling that for Modern Warfare 3.”
It’s not like these guys don’t know their way around the Nintendo platform though since Infinity Ward did bring Modern Warfare to Wii for some reason, and Treyarch also ported World at War and Black Ops to the platform. (Seriously..who out there is supporting this market..we need to sit down and have a Big Boy and/or Girl chat…) Either way, Activision apparently feels there is an audience with the Wii crowd and doesn’t want kids thrashing their wrists around with a Wiimote to miss out on their cash cow Call of Duty.
Activision plans to launch Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 for Wii alongside its PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 brothers on 8th November.
