The Lord of the Rings: War in the North Gets Release Date, Collector’s Edition, and Mature Rating (Middle Earth Will Never Be the Same)
The Lord of the Rings: War in the North finally has something everyone from Middle Earth has been waiting a long, long time for: A release date. Warner Brothers Interactive Entertainment and Snowblind Studios have finally announced, via a very sexy (okay..not so sexy) press release, that War in the North will drop officially on November 1, 2011. Sure, we knew about War in the North since March of 2010 (Not that we’re keeping track…*cough*) and even saw a playable demo back at E3, but like most things in life, good things come to those who wait.
If a solid release date wasn’t enough to get you excited about this next title in the LOTR series, we also have been given the heads up that a collector’s edition will also launch on November 1, 2011 featuring behind the scenes development info, art books, DLC, and much more. Granted, this series has been a bit of a hit or miss for fans, however this outing is sporting the first “mature” rating in the series and promises to coat your screen in a deep shade of red and/or light pink mist throughout every epic battle. Time will tell for sure, but ZKG will be keeping an eye out come November to see if this is a winner or not.
