With the recent news that Snake Eater 3D was being delayed until next year, Metal Gear fans may have been whispering quiet prayers into their codecs that the same fate wouldn’t befall the forthcoming Metal Gear Solid HD Collection. Sleep easy stealth loving gaming folk, for not only is the title reconfirmed for launch later this year, but those who haven’t played Peace Walker are in for a treat.
Not only will the previously PSP only game be tarted up and HD’ised. (Don’t you love these technical terms) for release on the PS3 and 360, but it will also run at 60fps. Kojima himself provided this titbit of excitement via his twitter feed, with one post stating “60 frames per second in HD… it’s the best! Say peace!” Gotta love the guy!
Joining Peace Walker in the collection will be Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. It has now been confirmed that all of these titles will display at 60fps.
