Sony has revealed that the financial losses caused by the cyber attacks in April are less than originally predicted. During their Q1 earnings call, executive vice president and chief financial officer Masaru Kato revealed “the [total] cost may be smaller than the original cost estimate.”

When the whole PSN saga first happened Sony had projected that it could cost them as much as $171 million dollars. What a difference a few months can make. Sony also revealed that usage numbers are returning to the levels they saw before the cyber attacks.
