It was reported last month that T-Mobile is home to over one million iPhone devices. The news today pretty much ensures that that number will rise with the introduction of Micro SIM cards for the iPhone 4. Due to network compatibility issues, the iPhone 4 won’t be able to access T-Mobile’s 4G HSPA+ or 3G network. However, GSM and EDGE won’t be a problem.
One has to wonder if this will better prepare T-Mobile for the iPhone 5, if they are to receive the device. It’s been long rumored that T-Mobile is next in the pipeline to join Big Red & Ma Bell as a supported carrier of the iPhone. This move only adds to the speculation.
So how many of you out there are carrying your unlocked iPhone 4 over to T-Mobile? Or are you waiting for an official T-Mobile iPhone 5? Hit up the comments and let us know! For more information or to purchase, visit T-Mobile. The card retails for $9.99, but you can grab it now for free.
