For those who signed up and were anticipating the launch of Spotify in the U.S., you’ll be happy to know that the service will officially launch tomorrow. According to Ken Parks, chief content officer at Spotify, “It took some time, but we’re absolutely thrilled that all four major labels and a ton of indies are behind us, and we’ll be bringing that Spotify experience to the US tomorrow.”
A lot of you were wondering how pricing would be structured for Spotify. According to Parks, Spotify will offer three service plans for customers. The first would be the free ad-supported plan, which I’m sure will be a big hit. The second plan will cost you $4.99 and be offered without ads. Finally, the $9.99 plan will make “it possible to use Spotify with mobile devices, including an offline caching feature.”
So I guess those invites should start rolling pretty soon for those who signed up. For more information, visit http://www.spotify.com/int/coming-to-the-us/.
