Media Molecule the team that gave the world the revolutionary franchise LittleBigPlanet, after delivering the second game in the series to widespread critical acclaim, have decided to try their hands at something new.
With a team like Media Molecule who is incredibly creative and dedicated to creating games it is interesting to consider what they might do with that talent. For most of this generation, Media Molecule has been completely focused on Sackboy and Co. and that focus has resulted in awards, respect, and a place in Sony’s stable of top-tier developers. Now, a series of Tweets has passed through several sources, including Edge ; the update is from Media Molecule’s Siobhan Reddy:
“We’re stepping away from LittleBigPlanet to focus on some new ideas.”
“Some new ideas” is rather vague, but as the team is owned by Sony now, we’d like to assume a new PlayStation 3 exclusive is in the works. But what could it be you ask? Something along the lines of LBP? Will they continue their Play, Share, Create mechanic with this new project? Whatever they decide we are sure to keep you up to date here at ZKG.
