Despite the loss of the much missed Colin McRae’s name from the title of their most popular racing series, Codemasters hit paydirt again a few weeks ago when DiRT 3 released across the PS3, 360 and PC platforms. Gamers who enjoyed the visceral blend of arcade and realistic rally action will be interested to learn that new DLC for the title has now been released.
Available for a slightly eye-watering $9.99 or 800 MSRP the downloadable content consists of eight rally stages based around the iconic Monte Carlo location, featuring a variety of track challenges including mountain passes, tunnels and snow-covered hairpin bends. The track is also shown off with different weather conditions and time of day races.
The stages are of course fully playable in single player, split screen or online modes, which should be of interest to the players who have so far spent 292 years driving in-game. That’s all-together, not just one person, that would be silly. The new track is available right now for 360 and PC, and launches later today on PSN. What do you think about the price? Well worth it or overpriced for what is essentially one track? Tell us what you think below.
