Twitter has been alive today with news surrounding the incoming multiplayer Beta for Uncharted 3 and Modern Warfare 3.
Evan Wells, Co-President of Naughty Dog tweeted earlier today that the “MP Beta should be on PSN around 2PM PDT tomorrow, but Naughty Dog doesn’t control this”. So then, if all things run smoothly the world should be introduced to Drake’s newest online experience shortly after midday tomorrow.
Some new updates surrounding Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 have also been revealed on Twitter by Robert Bowling of Infinity Ward. In response to followers, Bowling tweets that no MW3 Beta has been announced yet although the new COD Elite program will boast a beta of its own. Unfortunately it is unlikely that a MW3 Beta will hit the public. During production of MW2 Bowling stated that there would also be no beta due to Infinity Ward preferring to run extensive, internal beta’s among Infinity Ward and other first party partners. While the announcement of a public MW3 beta would be welcome to my ears I’m afraid it is rather unlikely to happen at this point in time.
On a lighter note Bowling also dropped some info regarding a possible kill-streak and some Spec Ops survival mode features. In response to a follower asking “will MW3 have dogs?” Bowling Tweets “There are dogs and dogs with C4 strapped to them in the Spec Ops Survival Mode”. Wow, so not only is it possible that MW3 will have an Attack Dog Kill-streak but a new Spec Ops survival mode will present you with the added difficulty of a pack of ravenous, suicidal dogs to deal with.
I for one can’t wait to see what Infinity Ward will do with the new MW3 and I’m sure I will be counting the hours go by as time draws nearer to the release of Uncharted 3’s MP beta. Let us know what you hope to get from MW3 and the new Uncharted Beta in the comments section below.
