The hits keep coming for the Madden team with yet another departure from a group that had been together for quite a while. EA Sports has announced that Madden Executive Producer Phil Frazier is leaving the EA Sports to pursue new opportunities. For our part, we guess that means we won’t be getting that interview with him. Check the official statement from EA Sports:

We appreciate Phil’s 14 years of work on the Madden franchise and recognize he was looking for a new opportunity.  Our team is changing to tackle new opportunities and we’re confident in the new organizational structure and leadership we have in place.

EA Sports also filled us in on the fact they will be replacing Frazier with NCAA Football Executive Producer Roy Harvey. They said that he will be transitioning in the coming months to lead the Madden team.  EA Sports went on to say that “ Roy has done an outstanding job in driving online innovation and core product quality in NCAA Football and we’re excited that he will be leading the Madden franchise moving forward.”

For all you NCAA Football fans no need to worry. EA Sports has not revealed who will be the new lead on that franchise but they did confirm that “the core creative and development team for NCAA Football remains intact and will continue to drive core quality and online innovation in future titles.” I always appreciate that change is necessary and even with all the changes surrounding the Madden franchise from what we have heard from people who have played the game say it doesn’t seem to be suffering because o fit.
