If you’re a keen cyclist living in the New York area, or you just fancy a family friendly day out with a chance to get hold of some Rockstar branded goodies, get yourself down to Marcus Garvey Park in Harlem this Sunday.
Rockstar is sponsoring the 38th Annual Harlem Skyscraper Cycling Classic race for the third consecutive year, perhaps inspired by the BMX sections of GTA: San Andreas! The day long celebration, in addition to hosting NYC’s only professional cycling race, will feature music, food and family entertainment like BMX stunt riding, as well as cycling lessons for the young where they will be able to claim a free safety helmet.
John Eustice , the promoter of the event said, “We want to celebrate the long and rich cycling heritage of New York City and its historic Madison Square Garden races by bringing that format to the streets of Harlem.” Rockstar merchandise will be available at the start and finish lines of the race. “Cycling is a passion and way-of-life for so many of us at Rockstar. It’s an honor to support not only the singular professional cycling event in New York City, but also a day filled with great races and entertainment,” stated Sam Houser of the publisher.
