The Witcher 2 on Xbox 360 will be an enhanced adaptation of the PC game released to instant international acclaim in mid-May. Accordingly, it will incorporate numerous improvements and enhancements. For those of you that think this will be just another rushed PC port think again.
John Mamais, executive producer at CD Projekt Red, commented that “Some people may be disappointed that the game is scheduled for the end of the year, not earlier. Market-wise, that might be profitable, but I think everyone has had enough of ports rushed to different platforms, so we really don’t want to follow this path. As always, quality and the players’ experience are paramount for us. So now, we have a few precious months to focus on delivering a superb RPG to Xbox gamers, and we are going to do that”
The Witcher 2 for Xbox 360 isn’t slated to come out until the end of the year so we will see if he can keep that promise. No word on if a PS3 version could be possible but if it can come to Xbox 360 no reason a PS3 version can’t be in the works.
