For those that waited or found themselves unable to find the latest iPad 2 in stores, your wait and/or reluctance might have paid off. If the latest rumored reports are accurate, the iPad 3 will launch before this year’s holiday season. Additionally, the report states that Apple will include 4G LTE capabilities in the iPad 3, and come with an improved display. This comes from CLSA, a Hong-Kong based research firm, and really has placed a big spin on the tablet market, in my opinion.
CLSA states that,
While most vendors appear fixated on matching the specs and features of iPad2, our checks suggest Apple will release iPad3 in time for the holiday season, sporting a better display and LTE capabilities.
If this all comes to fruition, and Apple somehow confirms it, you can predict a halt in competitor tablet sales, as consumers wait to see what Apple has to offer.
In the not so good part of the report, we see where Apple will not release the much anticipated LTE iPhone this year. This is not to say that the iPhone 4S or iPhone 5 rumored to be launched this September won’t find its’ way to the market. It just means, it won’t have LTE capabilities. Even still, that’s not a major disappointment.
As always, these are unconfirmed reports and the best confirmation will only come from Apple. However, how does this affect your tablet buying decision? Were you waiting on any of these reports? Are you now hesitant about making that Android or Windows Tablet purchase? Hit up the comments and let us know what you think! This could be a very wild Christmas!
