We knew this was going to happen at some point, we just never thought it would be so soon. After 16 years of developing PlayStation only titles the company joined the EA Partners program a little more than a year ago which meant they would have to develop across multiple platforms. The announcement about the reveal actually came courtesy of the company’s official Twitter and Facebook accounts. They said:
We are excited to reveal our brand new universe and game during the EA Press Conference on Monday, 12:30 PDT, on Spike.
PlayStation gamers are understandably concerned about this turn of events as they think that it may lower the quality of the developers titles as they seek to work within the technical constraints of the Xbox 360 platform. If anyone can pull this off, it would be Insomniac but we will have to wait until E3 next week to determine if the creators of the Resistance and Ratchet and Clank franchises can pull off another hit.
