It’s magical, and it’ll always be – the Apple iPad. And as we wait on the next generation iPad, the iPad 3, I’m sure that it will be magical, transformational, and all of the other adjectives that you’ll probably hear. However, could this latest announcement be enough to sway your mind from ever wanting the iPad 3. On yesterday, Verizon announced the 4G LTE enabled Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. Yes, all of that. Could it all end right there? Possibly, but not so fast my friends.
“Samsung Mobile is excited to expand its mobile tablet portfolio with Verizon Wireless to include the 4G LTE-enabled Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1,” said Dale Sohn, president of Samsung Telecommunications America. “The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is the thinnest and lightest tablet in the world that delivers a truly mobile multimedia experience on an Android Honeycomb platform.”
From all we can really tell, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is a lot like the Motorola XOOM, except that it comes with 4G LTE capability out the box. Android Honeycomb, is pretty much still … Android Honeycomb. Perhaps, a better concern is rather or not the Galaxy Tab 10.1 can even compete with the iPad 2. Sure some of it is personal preference, but more of it is not. I definitely can’t wait to do my own review of the device, but from what we’ve gathered so far, the iPad 2 may still be winning, and the iPad 3 will be far ahead when it’s released. With that said, what are your thoughts? Could the new Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 with 4G LTE straight out the box deter you from the upcoming iPad 3. Hit up the comments and let us know!
