Today it was reported by Eldar Murtazin, editor-in-chief of Mobile-Review, that the iPhone 3GS will not be compatible with iOS 5, thus making it unable to receive the update from Apple. Fortunately, the iPhone 4 will receive the update. Though this has not been confirmed by Apple, this could spell out exactly why WWDC 2011 will focus on software. Additionally, future Apple updates may require certain hardware specifications.
The only problem I see with this is the fact that the iPhone 3GS is still being sold. Those owners should at least experience one update after purchasing the device. I mean, WTF? Maybe it’s just me, but this is just a rumor at this point. So how do you feel about this? Hit up the comments and let us know!
