NCAA Football 12 Videos Talk Bull Rushes, Enhanced Dive Animations, And Improved Zone Coverage

Today we have not one but two new  NCAA Football 12 videos for your viewing pleasure. In the first video, the guys talk about the introduction of the bull rush and new dive animations. Both NCAA and Madden have had spin moves and swim moves for years but the bull rush was a maneuver that was noticeably missing.  Now most of us like to use the speed rushers off the edge but by not having a more robust bull rush it put power pass rushers at a distinct disadvantage. Not this year though, this time around you can still go around the blocker but at times it will be much more effective to go through him. Later on in this quick video they show off some new dive animations that were added since they pretty much got rid of all the warping and sliding from past games and they needed a way for receivers to get balls that were a bit out in front of them. From what we can see in this video, both new additions look solid.

In the second video we get brought up to date on the new look of zone defense. In past games, Zone Defense never really works the way it should. Most of the time you have to use it in conjunction with an aggressive blitz to get any kind of benefit while risking the big play or you just put it on at the end of games and play back. The bottom line is that it hasn’t been the kind of strategic tool it is in real life. EA had that on their plate to improve this year, check out what they came up with. Check the vids below and let us know what you think.
