Ubisoft Launching Ubisoft Motion Pictures, Who Wants To See Assassin’s Creed Or Splinter Cell On The Big Screen

ubisoft-logoUbisoft says they have had enough of having other companies adapt their popular video games into movies, they figure that who better to make movies based on their games than them. According to a report by Variety, Ubisoft is launching Ubisoft Motion Pictures to adapt its game franchises into films and TV series.

This would be a great development as Ubisoft definitely has several properties that would be awesome on the big screen. Imagine the Assassin’s Creed franchise hitting the big screen or how about Splinter Cell’s Sam Fisher carrying out all kind of covert ops on a huge IMAX screen. Ubi has already proven that their properties can be turned into movies that sell. Just last year “Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time” hit the bigscreen in an adaptation directed by Jerry Bruckheimer, with Jake Gyllenhaal in the lead. The film went on to gross about $335 million worldwide.

So what is the first movie you want to see them do? I vote Assassin’s Creed, it would be so awesome!! Altair or Ezio?
