PlayStation Network Still Down, Does Sony Owe Us An Explanation?

Come On, Share It

zkgpsnlogoBy now we are sure you have noticed but PlayStation Network is still down. It has been down for 2 days now and Sony is not really giving us a lot of info as to what’s going on. The last update we got was from Patrick Seybold yesterday morning when he gave this status update:

While we are investigating the cause of the Network outage, we wanted to alert you that it may be a full day or two before we’re able to get the service completely back up and running. Thank you very much for your patience while we work to resolve this matter. Please stay tuned to this space for more details, and we’ll update you again as soon as we can.

And going into the Easter weekend that is all we have from Sony. So if you wanted to be checking out the from what we hear awesome co-op play in Portal 2 or getting your rankings up in SOCOM 4 you will have to wait. This whole outage thing ruined a lot of folks plans to take that an extended weekend and really get their gaming on. You know what though, PSN being down would only slightly agitate me but the fact that I can’t even watch Netflix (apparently it works, just keep ignoring the prompt about logging in failing) because its tied into PSN well now that is just too much !! We will keep you updated if we hear anything about when PSN will be back online but in the meantime we want to know from you do you think Sony owes us PS3 gamers any kind of explanation about this? The first thing some folks will say is that PSN is free which is true, but some of us pay for PS Plus and in any case PS3′s aren’t cheap so just to buy one you are investing some serious capital. Anyway, we want to hear from you, let us know how you feel about all this? Did it ruin your weekend plans? Go ahead, tell Sony what’s really on your mind.
