Ever since Capcom announced Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City people have been abuzz talking about whether or not they can successfully transition the game to a worthwhile first person shooter. At this point, its way too early to tell but so far everything we are seeing in these trailers looks good. The tough part for Capcom is staying in the confines of the original Resident Evil canon, as the events in Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City have already happened but are being told from a different perspective.
In this latest trailer we get a look at the total chaos that is being unleashed on Raccoon City as the USS battle against the opposing US Spec Ops squad, zombies and B.O.W’s, adding an unpredictable twist to the gameplay that could only exist in the Resident Evil universe. Set in September 1998, during the outbreak of Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3, Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City watches events unfold from the perspective of the Umbrella Security Service. Fans will see the return of favorite Resident Evil enemies and iconic characters, including Leon S. Kennedy who is on your hit list to keep Umbrella’s secrets from being revealed.
