The folks at Sucker Punch have been doing a great job of keeping us informed on inFAMOUS 2 and this time around is no different. In this latest set of info we learn even more about everyone’s favorite topic, Cole’s powers!! To be specific, we explore how Cole manages to add to his already awesome set of electrical abilities, trust us this time around you will be rather surprised at just what Cole can do.
In inFAMOUS 2, Cole travels South to New Marais to trace a path to the man behind the Ray Sphere technology, Dr. Sebastian Wolfe. With buddy Zeke riding shotgun, they set off to find the key to the next step in Cole’s evolution and a new level of power– powers that will be necessary if Cole hopes to survive the upcoming battle. Cole and Zeke eventually track down Dr. Wolfe and when they do he explains that he has isolated the specific types of energy responsible for all genetic mutations. The Ray Sphere was all created to concentrate and manipulate this energy. To any regular person a dose of this mutative energy is fatal but for a small few the energy unlocks their untapped potential. These individuals are called Conduits and we will give you one guess what Cole is?
The good doctor didn’t stop with The Ray Sphere though, now he has developed a new device called a Blast Core which can store this type of energy safely for an extended period of time. Actually he has built six to be exact and if Cole wants to continue his evolution he is going to have to find each and every one of them. Of course this won’t be easy since Dr. Wolfe was worried that they might fall into the wrong hands so he has moved them to safe locations around the city and you will have to hunt them down. On your quest to retrieve the Blast Cores the story will definitely take a few twist and turns and on the way you will meet other Conduits and just as in the first game ultimately your choices will have major consequences on the final outcome. But no matter which path Cole follows, one thing remains the same: without the Blast Cores you won’t survive. Check the video below to see what you’re in for.
