Apple has released a brand new iPad 2 commercial and it seems that Apple is shifting its focus just a bit when it comes to the reasons they believe the iPad 2 is a compelling product. As new tablets get closer and closer and sometimes better than the iPad 2 from a hardware specifications standpoint it seems that Apple is happy to highlight what they feel is superior functionality.

I have said for a while now that I think the iPad 2 is the best tablet on the market and the iPad is the second best tablet on the market, but Apple is realizing that might not be enough. The commercial sets the tone saying “This is what we believe”. They go on to say that “Technology alone is not enough” and they are right. This is quite a shrewd move by Apple, again out ahead of the competition not only driving the conversation but framing it. Ultimately, this will be what keeps Apple ahead of other companies in this space and others.
