The hacker group calling themselves “Anonymous” have decided to play hardball with the fat cats at Sony. The group is upset about Sony’s pending lawsuit against famed hacker George “Geohot” Hotz. The group feels like the lawsuit is an attack on free speech and they are out to prove a point. The group has already taken down Sony.com and PlayStation.com (including the PlayStation blog), at the time of this article both of those sites seem to be up intermittently. The group has promised that that more of Sony’s properties will follow until they are satisfied that their message has gotten across.

It also appears that PSN has been having issues too but Sony says that its just undergoing maintenance, sure. The group has also released a video outlining their issues with Sony that you can view below. Our question to you is how do you feel about stuff like this, do you think these actions help or hurt the average PS3 gamer? Leave your thoughts in the comments.
