THQ today announced that first day sales of Homefront were approximated 375,000 units in North America. Contrary to what people might tell you, that is damn good. Call Of Duty is the exception and not the rule and what makes the numbers even more impressive is that Homefront is a new IP so it didn’t have a built in user base like other shooters. Personally, I think Homefront will have some legs on it as word of mouth spreads about the awesome multiplayer. The game is scheduled to ship in Europe and Asia Pacific throughout this week. THQ has to do this because the rumors were rampant that Homefront underperformed and they had to get out in front of that. As reviews come in from across the game industry they have been all over the place, here at ZKG we had a very favorable review of the game after getting a chance to spend a week with the game pre-launch but other sites totally hammered it. Take our word for its, its a hell of a game that has tons of potential and the multiplayer is absolutely brilliant.
