Today, the folks at Sony released the debut trailer for Rochard and a couple of new screenshots. Rochard is the gravity-bending puzzle-platformer from Recoil Games, scheduled for release this spring on PlayStation Network. This one looks like its going to be pretty good, but guess we will just have to wait and see.
Rochard follows the story of humble astro-miner John Rochard, who accidentally discovers an ancient structure hidden deep in an asteroid, thus proving mankind isn’t alone in the universe. Soon after, his team goes missing without a trace and John finds himself stranded on the asteroid and under attack by space bandits. He quickly realizes there are dangerous forces at work determined to use the discovery for their own sinister means. Using your wits, the upgradeable G-Lifter and a little bit of gravity manipulation, you’ll help John lift and maneuver heavy objects around the environment, and will eventually swing, jump and propel him huge distances throughout each level. The game constantly tests your coordination and skills as you learn to master the use of gravity, changing it at will to solve environmental puzzles, advance through each level and defeat the bad guys.
