The NCAA Football 12 cover is in your hands. EA Sports has revealed that they are going to take a page out of Madden’s book and have fans vote for the athlete they want on the over of NCAA Football 12. As you all will remember EA Sports did this last year ultimately resulting in Drew Brees being chosen as the cover athlete. Not to knock any of the guys that made the final cut but I am a bit disappointed in who didn’t make the cut. First of all I wonder how they got down to the four options that didn’t include Cam Newton, the Heisman Trophy Winner and National Champion QB from Auburn or Patrick Patterson from LSU who might be the most gifted CB to come out of college since Charles Woodson. Of the four choices which are Nick Fairley (Auburn), Demarco Murray (Oklahoma), Mark Ingram (Alabama), and Jake Locker (Washington) I would have to give my vote to Mark Ingram because while Fairley perhaps had to best season, Ingram is a former Heisman trophy winner and has probably had the most decorated career. Locker has faded from the brilliance he once showed, Fairley is kind of a one season wonder and a DL so he has no chance and Murray has always been solid and will be solid on Sunday’s for years to come but he just not a compelling choice. Voting for the cover will start March 8 on the official Facebook page, but before that happens we want to know who you think should make the cover. Vote in our poll below.
