This is what you get Samsung when you make promises and fail to come through on them! Not only that, you get resentment from all of your consumers for not even giving them any type of timeline as to when their Galaxy S devices will be updated. It’s sad to say, but this is just ridiculous. So what are the rumors?
Apparently, Android Central has been given solid information, which states that the Samsung Epic 4G on Sprint will receive the long-awaited Android 2.2 Froyo update on February 21st, and the Samsung Fascinate on Verizon Wireless will receive the update on February 22nd.
Now I’m not saying that this will not happen. I hope it does. However, history has not serve Samsung well. This is the only reason why I think this should be taken lightly. No need to get your hopes up and have them stomped on. That said, again I do hope that all U.S. Galaxy S owners actually do receive their updates before the end of the year. If not, rooting may be the Galaxy S owner’s best choice! Your Thoughts!
