Killzone 3 Single Player 3D Capable Demo Drops Feb. 9 For PS Plus, Feb 16. For Everyone Else

The folks over on the Official PlayStation Blog (EU) just dropped the word that players will be dropping in hot next week for some Killzone 3 single player demo action. That is if your a PlayStation Plus subscriber, if your not then you will have to wait until the 16th.

According to them there be two separate downloads available from the PlayStation Store: one in 2D and one in 3D. Both versions will take place on the “Icy Incursion” level. Don’t worry – downloading the 3D version and playing it on your 2D TV won’t break anything… you’ll just see a message saying “No 3D TV detected.” The 2D version has splitscreen co-op as well, a feature not available in the 3D demo. Both demos will also be PlayStation Move-enabled. Players are encouraged players to check out the new brutal melee attacks in particular.

They also wanted to remind everyone to stay tuned for news about the upcoming multiplayer open beta.
