Activision today announced that wholly owned development studio Beenox has been named the primary developer on upcoming Activision titles featuring Spider-Man. I think this is good news as Beenox recently proved they are more than capable of making a good Spider-Man game as last year’s Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions which was one of the most highly rated Spider-Man titles to date and Wizard Magazine’s 2010 Game of the Year, showed.

Beenox worked on the highly successful Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions

“We are thrilled with this opportunity to continue our close, collaborative relationship with Activision, Marvel and everyone’s friendly, neighborhood hero, Spider-Man,” said Dee Brown, Studio Head, Beenox.  “Being able to map out Spider-Man’s interactive future gives us the creative freedom to really craft the best gaming experience for the fans.”

So it looks like the future development of any Spider-Man games is sorted and let’s hope that the next game Activision and Beenox produce featuring our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man is just as good as Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions which will leave everyone very pleased indeed.

I'm a big gaming fan who has been playing games since ever since Pokemon Yellow was released in the year 2000. I'm just glad that there are decent rugby games on the PS3 now after years of nothing. I need another Uncharted game...NOW!!!!!
