Samsung Sold Over 10 Million Galaxy S Devices In 2010, U.S. Still Without Android 2.2 Froyo

Today Samsung announced that their Galaxy S devices have sold over 10 million units worldwide since they were launched last June. Of that 10 million, 4 million were sold in North America, 2.5 million in Europe, and 2 million in Korea.

While this is certainly good news for Samsung, the company has yet to deliver on the Android 2.2 Froyo update in the US. This more than likely will hurt sales as new customers and current customers become more and more impatient. However, Samsung is still committed to doubling smartphone sales for this year.
