Activision just announced that Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock and DJ Hero 2 are giving fans new downloadable content. The content will be from two of the world’s best selling artists. The artists are KISS and Linkin Park. Gene Simmons is the lead singer of KISS. And, he voiced the Demi-God of Rock in Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock. He is back and KISS is with him. The KISS song pack contains one of the bands biggest hits: Rock And Roll All Nite. The other two songs included are Detroit Rock City and Calling Dr. Love.
Linkin Park have collaborated with hip-hop icon Jay-Z. Also, they have collaborated with the world renowned DJ Hero remixer Z-trip. Now, two of their tracks have received the DJ Hero remix treatment. And, the songs are from their album “A Thousand Suns”. The album was released in 2010. It is also a number one selling album, fyi. One song available is The Catalyst (Does It Offend You, Yeah?Remix). And, another song available is a mashup of When They Come For Me (by the legendary turntablist Diplo). This is all available today. The last song in the Linkin Park Track Pack is a mashup of Pts. OF Athrty from the band’s 2002 remix album: Reanimation. Let us all hope that is not a typo.
The packs will be available on the Xbox Live Marketplace for 440 MS points. And they will be available on the PlayStation store for $5.49. They will also be available for Wii for 550 Wii Points. You can also download the songs as singles. If that is your fancy. And, it should be because someone went through a lot of work to make it possible. Singles cost either 160 MS points, $1.99 on the PSN or 200 Wii Points. This will be useful for those who want to save a dime.
