Sony has just announced that starting tomorrow, MAG will be available in its entirety as a full game download on the PlayStation Store. The full game download will be going for $29.99 which is the same price as its boxed “Greatest Hits” counterpart, the downloadable version of MAG will come in at a solid 4.7GB and will have all the patches up to v2.10. MAG would have been a solid shooter if it wasn’t for the frequency of connectivity issues which made the game unplayable over the time that I had it. If they have cleared up those issues now then maybe it might not be a bad buy.
To celebrate its release, PlayStation Plus users can try MAG out for free with an exclusive full game trial! Members can play the game and any of its original modes at no charge for as long as their PlayStation Plus membership lasts, with their only limitation being a level 8 character cap. However, members will continue to earn experience as long as they play the game, allowing them to automatically receive credit for time played once they’ve purchased the full product. That is one heck of a deal for PlayStation Plus members right, man they basically get to play the game for free though I don’t know about the price tag equal to the boxed version, I mean packaging should at least drop $8 or $9 off the price of the fully downloadable version.
