Earlier this year in August, Eric Schmidt noted that there were over 200,000 activations per day on Android. This week Andy Rubin, the VP of Engineering at Google, tweeted that “there are over 300,000 Android phones activated each day”, which comes to over 9 millions activations per month. One difference that has been noted in this report in comparison to Apple’s, is that Rubin specifically stated “phones”, whereas Steve Jobs proclaimed 230,000 iOS activations, which would include the iPad and iPod. Interesting, but that’s another story. So for now let’s give Google an applause for this achievement. What are you thoughts?
