Yesterday Sony announced the debut of its first ad campaign for Latin America. This will include customized products for Latin America which have long been overdue. Finally Latin Americans will be acknowledged by Sony. Because PlayStation is experiencing incredible growth in Latin America, it is finally providing access to the full range of PlayStation products and services to that region which has demanded it. For the first time, games like The Shoot and The Fight: Lights Out will be available in Latin America on the same day as in the US and Canada.
For those of you who don’t know, Latin Americans pay an arm and a leg in order to be able to play games like these the day they are released. Although this move is brilliant it is also overdue. Maybe someone didn’t read the memo. At least this move will begin to make amends. The Latin American market could be big.
