Not So Fast Netflix, Redbox To Offer Streaming Services Next Year

Redbox, a worthy competitor to Netflix, has made a timely announcement. According to Coinstar CEO Paul Davis, Redbox will be offering streaming services next year. Coinstar is the owner of the subsidiary Redbox.

Davis stated that Redbox is in “detailed negotiations with a number of highly interested parties.” Yahoo reported that Redbox surveyed customers in April about a “$3.95-a-month plan that would include unlimited video streaming plus four free DVD rentals.” That’s right, our JAWS dropped as well.

As of now, not many details have been given on this service. But just imagine your PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, Apple TV, Google TV, Roku, etc. (okay yeah, you got the point) filled with entertainment solutions such as: Netflix, Hulu, PlayOn, Redbox, etc. Looks very good! So hit up the comments and let us know what you think!
