It’s that time of year again, where we get ready to fight the masses at the malls and stores for our children and loved ones, hide the presents and prep the milk and cookies. And just like when we were children, we still make our list and check it twice (hey Santa does it), deciding on the firetruck or the LEGO set, and in which color. Yet in this day and age, our tastes have changed, and we grow busier.  But have no fear, ZKG is here to give you the low down on this holiday season’s hottest video game and one video game accessory. So sit back, relax and let us do all the work for you.

Below you will find a list of the top ten best items worth grabbing between now and the end of January (which is the end of the holiday rush). They encompass a wide array of genres,  from action to adventure to racing to family-friendly, and we even added an extra five at the bottom just for good measure.

10-9.) Eyepet/Kinectimals
Developer: Sony/ Frontier
Publisher: Sony/Microsoft

Why it’s there: Sharing the opening spot, both games present us with the wonderful chance to give your family a pet, without all the upkeep. With the Move’s sensitive wand ushering, or the Kinect’s real-life gesturing, now you’ll be able to yield to your son or daughter’s whims of a pony or a dog, without all of the mess or fuss.

Why you should want it: Child-like amusement aside, this will be the first real chance that the Move will have to show off one of their more family-friendly titles while competing directly with the Kinect at their launch. At the same time, this is one of the Kinect’s big selling points, giving ample opportunity for a gold medal or an under-the-rug failure.
