I don’t know if you’re as excited about Tron: Legacy as I am…but you should be. And, if the video game is anything like the movie’s looking to be, it’ll be worth the wait, as well. For those of you who like the Tron universe, in the forthcoming game Tron: Evolution, some of the original film’s actors are returning to lend their voices to the characters.
Seriously, the first time I played Tron 2.0 on the PC, I was hooked. You may have your complaints about the original movie and subsequent Tron productions, but there’s a definite fanbase there. And now, to help bring back some of that nostalgia, it’s been announced that Olivia Wilde and Bruce Boxleitner will return to voice the characters of Quorra and TRON, respectively, in Tron: Evolution.
In any game that has a movie attached to it, the original voice actors’ presence in said game can add a great deal to its enjoyment. When you’re involved in and interacting with the story yourself and you hear the voices of the characters from the movie, it makes it that much better.
This game also receives some merit from the fact that it will bridge the storylines from the original TRON movie to the new one, Tron: Legacy. The computer-generated light cycle and disc combat games are a geeky pleasure of mine, so I very much look forward to this game – and to hearing Quorra and TRON’s voices in it.
